Brasco /// and International Bluegrass Music Festival

At Brasco /// we say “Be Authentic”, and there’s nothing more authentic than good music and great company.

Join us Friday, October 2nd 2015 for our First Friday event #BanjoBash — at Brasco /// and in partnership with the International Bluegrass Music Festival, Pinecone NC music organization, and in partnership with Downtown Raleigh Alliance’s First Friday.

The lineup will feature:

5:00 / Doors open at 305 W. Martin Street

5:30 / GrassStreet Bluegrass Band will be performing for multiple sets throughout the night

6:15 / Tommy Goldsmith will be giving us a unique historical perspective on Bluegrass history in North Carolina. Tommy is a journalist with the News and Observer and musician/artist going back many years.

6:30 / Tommy Edwards, world renowned Bluegrass artist, will speak on the role Raleigh – and the Triangle – have played in the development and success of bluegrass music.  If we’re lucky he may even pick a few tunes for us.  Tommy has been an instrumental figure in the Bluegrass scene for decades, writing and playing wonderful music, and mentoring rising stars.

Featuring / PineTop Distillery will also be featured, educating us about the relevance of moonshine in North Carolina, showcasing their locally produced products (distilled using local grains by local tradesmen), and introducing Raleigh to a wonderful new brand. ,

Featuring / We will have a photobooth to take some pics of you and your friends.  We may also be featuring a couple of local photographers who will be there to help you grab the perfect shot.
