Social Media Intern

Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Intern to join our marketing team for May/June – August 2025. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about social media, digital trends, and storytelling. You will assist in creating engaging content, managing posts, and contributing to the overall growth and presence of our brand across various platforms. This is an in-person/hybrid role in Raleigh, NC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and curating engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, etc.)
  • Schedule and publish content using tools like Buffer, Hootsuite, or native platform schedulers.
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends, news, and competitor activities.
  • Interact with followers, respond to comments/messages, and encourage community engagement.
  • Help analyze performance metrics and generate monthly reports.
  • Support the team in brainstorming and executing social media campaigns.
  • Assist in content creation, including photography, video editing, graphic design, and caption writing.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms and trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Creative mindset with an eye for design and detail.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (a plus).
  • Basic knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Instagram Insights, Meta Business Suite, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
