Here is a quick highlight video and a summary below to view a few highlights from 2017 at Brasco ///

“Build Better Schools” Campaign

Many school systems around the country have started moving toward more progressive methods to fund and improve outdated school buildings. As North Carolina’s school system continues to battle budgetary constraints, a diverse group of advocates from around the state have lobbied to revise existing state regulations and laws preventing public schools from leveraging public-private partnerships to improve school facilities. Brasco /// worked with a consortium of state legislators, business leaders and building experts on an outreach campaign to move the needle on this topic. We called it “Build Better Schools”, as a way to tell the story of how public private partnerships can benefit our schools, to help work toward improving and upgrading outdated, dilapidated school facilities.

Autism Society of North Carolina

The Autism Society of North Carolina (ASNC) is improving the lives of individuals and families living with autism. With a goal of educating and reaching a statewide audience, the non-profit needed new ideas to evolve its brand and online presence. In partnering with ASNC, our team has learned a lot about autism and how it affects the lives of both individuals and families. We believe an important part of helping people improve and to help lift autism in to the mainstream conversation is through storytelling. It is important to tell the story of others who live with autism on a daily basis. We are reaching a state-wide audience through an integrated advertising and marketing campaign, new website and digital presence, and ongoing strategy and execution. The Brasco team has immersed itself in the organization’s mission and is working on creative ways to reach a diverse audience.

Brasco /// partnered with AMA for the conference to be a Platinum Sponsor and exhibitor. We also contributed with a featured speaker for one of the workshop sessions. Our CEO,  Brandon Ives led a a Jimi Hendrix themed presentation on the best practices of formulating an advertising campaign, which included an introduction to Purple Haze. The Brasco /// team also featured an augmented reality (AI) demo at the conference where we showcased a client AI project that we helped deliver. We also had a little fun with an AI zombie that gave some attendees a little scare!

Brasco /// has worked with Endura to help them continue to innovate in how they reach their customers. We’ve enjoyed supporting the Endura corporate marketing team on various multi-channel brand, marketing and advertising campaigns across various divisions of the company. One of the more unique efforts included creating a brand and building a website for their consumer direct division BetterDoor.com, an e-commerce site that aims to educate do-it-yourself minded homeowners, provide support and offer door products at a lower rate. BetterDoor is a perfect fit for DIYer’s with a hammer in hand ready for the next project.

North Carolina Housing Finance Agency,  The “Guide To Home Ownership” campaign

NCHFA works to create affordable housing opportunities for all citizens in North Carolina. They provide financing through the sale of tax-exempt bonds and management of federal tax credit programs, the federal HOME Program, the state Housing Trust Fund, and other programs. Brasco /// support NCHFA for creative and advertising services, to help with both reaching more people, while also focusing various campaigns on targeted programs that they offer. Part of our goal is to break down the mystery and fear surrounding the process of home ownership. One of the recent campaigns we helped with was focused on educating first time home buyers and providing important tips and information they will need to know before and after buying a home. We created a game format for the campaign to help illustrate and provide the information. The “Guide To Home Ownership” campaign, inspired from the “Game of Life” reached a targeted audience of first time home buyers and helped educate them on the things they need to know before buying that first home.

Brasco /// worked with the Kenan Flagler business school within UNC to help them figure out the WHY behind what influences young entrepreneurs, and to build a brand message around that, with brand collateral, and program development within the school. One of the more exciting programs included the Adams Apprenticeship, in which we worked with program leaders to showcase the program and highlight its offerings.

AIGA Studio Tour(ist) Event

Brasco /// was happy to participate in the 2017 AIGA “Studio Tour”, where AIGA members and others in the design community toured some of the top creative agencies around the Triangle. The Studio Tour was set up to help people discover the Raleigh design ecosystem and experience creatives in their “natural habitats” (which makes us sound like animals, but we sometimes are). The tour allowed designers from different agencies, students, freelancers, and anyone interested in graphic design to visit different marketing and advertising agencies to get a feel for how they work. We hosted a mural design activity at Brasco /// and together visitors helped to create a “Raleigh” mural with blocks of free thought sketches. We had over 100+ attend the event, which included music, food, drinks and fun.

Women’s Healthcare

Brasco /// has always worked in healthcare. One of the areas we have a lot of experience is working with physician groups on patient education, digital communications, and online reputation. We began working with Alliance Women’s Health, formerly Women’s Health Alliance, back in 2010 supporting one of their practices with website design and management. We now support multiple practices within the Alliance Women’s Health group for an array of communication and marketing needs. This year we also worked Reply OBGYN, a unique women’s health group focused on fertility. We helped them develop a strategy and creative patient education to better inform women on the topic of health and fertility.

  • How we helped: Marketing support, website design and development, branding, patient education, patient surveys, online reputation management, content marketing, digital marketing strategy.

Downtown Raleigh Alliance Partnership, Downtown Raleigh MAP + Town Hall Event

Our office has been based in downtown Raleigh since 2011. Since that time Brasco /// has maintained a good partnership with Downtown Raleigh alliance to work together in various ways. In 2017, we worked together on two projects. First, we were contracted to help create a map for downtown retail businesses, so that patrons who are shopping downtown can quickly access what they are looking for and to discover new shops. We worked to plan and design the map, to be used in both print and digital formats. We also partnered to co-present a Town Hall Meeting event with Downtown Raleigh Alliance back in October of this year. Brandon Ives moderated a panel discussion and open forum with the audience to discuss updates and changes happening downtown, with a focus on the burgeoning “Warehouse District”.  Brandon was joined by a panel of leaders from Citrix, City of Raleigh, CAM Raleigh, Kane Realty Corporation, HQ Raleigh and the Downtown Raleigh Alliance. We had over 100+ attendees who filled a jam packed room at Imurj downtown. We had many interesting topics and points for follow up in the coming year as we look to help coordinate another town hall event in the future.
