We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Marketing Strategist to lead and manage Digital Marketing and Automation account strategy and support website strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing a company’s digital marketing and web strategy, ensuring that it aligns with it’s business goals, delivers a high-quality user experience, meets necessary web functionality and is set up for success with our digital marketing team.


Job Description

Delivering customer success by leading client digital strategy, website strategy, and have a firm grasp of digital marketing technology, analytics and website content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, Shopify, etc. This role will support these projects from from planning to launch and optimization. You are able to think on your feet and make intelligent decisions creating high-quality deliverables with tactical precision to accomplish customers’ business objectives. Having a knack for understanding our client’s brand and marketing objectives, while making strategic recommendations that positively impact their website and online presence. You will guide website and digital related content, and have a deep understanding of website design and development working in various CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, and content management systems.

The Digital Marketing Strategist will report to the Director of Marketing Services.

What your day-to-day will look like

  • Guide clients to success through leading planning meetings, discussions, and quality control for website and digital marketing projects
  • Meet with new/existing clients to assist our account management team and help with digital
  • Identify client business objectives, challenges, and key success metrics.
  • Monitor client success through analytics to recommend solutions.
  • Support with website content planning and coordinate with the team for website content creation needs
  • Be a leader in website user experience (UX) and user interface (UI), working with creative services and website design
  • Must have a deep understanding of working in WordPress. Shopify and other CMS platforms are a plus
  • Be a technical leader for various website support needs
  • Have experience in both website design and development, having been a specialist or leader for taking a website from start to finish
  • Direct and analyze website audits and generate user experience, content strategy, and user interface improvements and recommendations.
  • Creating content outlines and communicating content strategies to clients, and assisting in the content creation process.
  • Create wireframes to present recommended layouts based on content strategy and page objectives
  • Provide guidance and mentor-ship in the area of website and digital. Be willing to share your experience and expertise to help the entire team learn and grow.
  • Improve process inefficiencies to improve internal productivity.
  • Support digital marketing campaigns; work with the Digital Services team to ensure we set proper client strategy for digital marketing campaigns and support quality execution
  • Present to clients and in internal meetings to propose new content ideas and web strategies, discuss the progress of current campaigns, and review the results of previous content campaigns. *Support delivery of content strategy and editorial planning documents;
  • Work with various departments to ensure high-quality deliverables for all website projects
  • Offer strategic perspective throughout the content creation and execution process, work with design & development teams, and influence strategic decisions that improve work created for clients
  • Research and understand the client’s needs and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings

  • Being a technology leader on various marketing tools, reporting, analytics and automation
    platforms such as Google Analytics, Hubspot, Marketo, Pardot, Moz and others.
  • Become an expert in understanding and building digital marketing KPI’s and analytic metrics;
  • Willingness and ability to jump in on helping with project execution on projects such as paid
    search ad campaign setup, SEM/SEO management, email marketing campaign, marketing
    automation, and digital ad campaign support.
  • Work with team to prepare project briefs, and coordinate with internal team to ensure projects
    are moving on schedule. Communicate effectively with both internal team on deadlines, project
    details, and quality – while maintaining availability and good client communication;
  • Support agency content strategy and support content creation team needs to include some
    writing, design, and copy-editing efforts on project;
  • Provide experience working on both corporate marketing and agency side
  • A key responsibility will be ensuring marketing planning and strategy is being provided with
    quality and that all production work that you provided has been vetted for quality control.
  • Be willing to mentor and serve as a mentee for team development, process improvements, and
    overall insights for agency growth.
  • You will be responsible for helping to manage certain strategic retainers, ongoing accounts.
    You may also be responsible for managing other strategic client projects.
  • Help lead client/project meetings for discovery, and lead other internal meetings and
    projects to guide along the process.
  • Complete tasks as dictated on project schedules and deliver projects ontime
  • Be a resource and take initiative for internal marketing needs forBrasco, promoting our
    efforts in the community, helping with PR, and other advertising needs for our company.
  • Other project related tasks may include copywriting, social media, SEO,proof reading, marketing
    planning, public relations, advertising/media planning, content marketing/strategy, campaign
    creation, basecamp project management, time tracking and more.
  • Handling client meetings professionally, providing creative feedback,doing research and
    uploading notes/files to our project management system.
  • It is required to be at the office for clients meetings or any work functions when scheduled;
    you must be attentive and able to be flexible for meetings.

The experience we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in leading website and digital marketing projects at an agency or in a consulting/freelance capacity in the past, having experience working on a large number of different website projects
  • Experience leading website and digital marketing projects and campaigns.
  • Experience working in WordPress, Drupal, Shopify and others CMS platforms;
  • Experience working with Hubspot and other marketing platforms a plus;
  • 3+ years in an agency setting preferred
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills; ability to shift from task to task efficiently
  • Expertise and/or certification in Google Analytics and web analysis tools
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while also thriving as an independent contributor
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills; ability to effectively interpret, analyze, and explain data and metric performance
  • An analytical and data driven mindset;
  • Proven experience meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects across multiple platforms at once
  • General knowledge of domain and DNS management
