Darby is an Account Manager at Brasco /// and an alumnus of East Carolina University’s College of Communications. An Enneagram 3, Darby’s strengths are fueled by helping and engaging hands-on with the people around her. Her best work is achieved when she is motivated and surrounded by creative humans. Though Darby grew up in a free-spirited, artist’s home, she found herself developing more Type-A characteristics compared to her siblings. While fine-tuning these skills, Darby found she could be of use to those who yearn to take any creative business or skillset to the next level. Darby is passionate about working with creatives, uniquely providing a sense of organization and structure to any Type-B industry.

Darby’s career started in interior design. Working four years within the industry, Darby initially worked as a Design Assistant but then spent 3 years serving as the Director of Business Development & Marketing for a boutique design firm, Carley Summers: Interiors, Styling & Photography. Her main objective while serving as Director was to create, develop, and establish the firm’s passive income projects in addition to creating internal operational systems needed to support the business’s growth. During this time, she helped market & launch Carley’s debut furniture line, The Max Collection, aided in the writing and publication process of Carley’s first coffee table book, Sacred Spaces, established an internship program within East Carolina University’s School of Design, and managed all PR for the @carlaysummers Instagram including social media campaigns and paid business collaborations.

Darby’s career took a shift when she left the interior design world and decided to enter into tech sales for Lenovo. As a Gen 11 LASR (Lenovo’s Accelerated Sales Rotational program), she served Lenovo for two years, supporting a multitude of different areas of the business, including the North America PR & Comms team, World Wide/Global Social team, Consumer Business Sales team, and finally, spent a year working as a B2B sales rep for the Corporate Central/Midwest, R&D sales. Throughout her time in sales, she used her knowledge of customers and reported back to the WW Social team doing consulting work, where she helped to establish and predict customer trends on social platforms as well as aid in influencer acquisition strategy.

Darby loves to travel! One of her most notable trips was backpacking through Thailand with her sister. In her free time, she also enjoys playing guitar and singing, thrifting unique clothing & coming up with fun outfit combinations for any life appointments, and re-designing her own home’s sacred spaces!
